Memorial Day is not only the unofficial kickoff to summer, but to a new wardrobe. Commencing now, it’s time to turn over your closet, no matter where you’re headed this weekend.
Here, we take you through the essentials for the season (from left to right)
1. Palmetto Tote: From summer Friday to the beach, this MILLY handbag features a pop of silver in the form of a lining. (Don’t forget your towel!)
2. Sorry for Partying tee: Arguably better than a bottle of wine (and it lasts longer) give it as a gift for the hostess!
3. Antigua Underwire Bikini: Good luck NOT getting noticed!
4. Mercer Ziparound wallet: Don’t forget ice cream money…
5. Racerback Romper: So versatile—wear it as a beach coverup, a casual lunch look or dress it up with heels for nighttime.
6. Color digital mini bag: A grown-up take on candy dots, how can you resist this pouch?
7. Leather Trim shorts: Dressed up or down, these go-to shorts are sure to be a summer favorite.
8. Slim skirt: Chevron jacquard makes this skirt an instant conversation piece.
9. Watercolor Print iPhone case - The vibrant Art Basel-inspired print helps to ensure your phone doesn’t get lost in the sand.
10. Demi Hologram clutch - Not only does it look cool with everything, it’s super fun.  5 months ago
Now that spring break is here, I’m dreaming about my favorite warm weather locations… One exotic hideaway that instantly comes to mind is a hidden gem on the Riviera Nayarit in Mexico - a little surf town called Sayulita (photos courtesy of Claudia Lebenthal, Style of Sport). Discovered in the late 1960s by wandering surfers, this off-the-beaten-path town is quickly becoming a popular spot for its stunning beaches, jungle terrain, snorkeling and fishing, and of course, its surfing.
The ultimate location for anyone looking to live on a surfboard for a few days, it features tame waves for beginners and surging ones for pros. Plus, if you’re down for an eclectic culture fix, you’ll love walking around the town scouting the different shops, filled with bohemian style jewelry, clothing, bags, and swimwear. P.S. You can’t go to Sayulita without heading to Pacha Mama - you’ll fall in love with the gypsy-inspired designs from the stunning Mignot sisters.
Insider info: make sure your trip to Sayulita overlaps with one of the town’s favorite events, the annual Punta Sayulita Classic. This weekend long contest hails some of the top athletes for long board and stand up paddle surfing…
Be sure to check out Claudia Lebenthal’s blog, Style of Sport, to read more about her surf adventures at the Punta Sayulita Classic!
Here are some items you can’t leave home without when going to Sayulita:
1. A wear-with-everything coverup. Slip this on after a day at the beach and head straight to margaritas at sunset.
2. The ultimate little black bikini. This MILLY Barbados Bandeau Bikini features O-ring details at the center chest and hips. Plus, removable straps mean it can be worn in multiple ways.
3. A colorful wallet. Designed to fit all your essentials, you won’t need anything else for an afternoon of shopping.
4. A printed iPhone case. Travel in style with this Aztec printed iPhone case. An easy way to inject color into your beach outfit…
5. A versatile beach tote. This MILLY tote is made of luxe perforated leather in fresh white. Perfectly sized, you can wear this everywhere.
6. A comfortable tank top. A conversational graphic tee will always look good over your bathing suit. Throw this on before a walk on the beach.
7. Easy, lightweight shorts. Made of an Italian tribal print, these colorful shorts epitomize easy cool. A drawstring at the waist also means they are comfortable.
Plus, don’t forget to shop MILLY dresses and MILLY handbags! 7 months ago

Now that New York Fashion Week is wrapped, I’m getting started on my next collection. No time for rest! I’m headed straight to Paris for Premiere Vision, an international fabric show. Now, time to pack.
Here’s my guide to blending in while in Paris—this season, I’m all about the leather.

1. My Leather Zipper Tee and a pair of our Leather Leggings will definitely make it into my suitcase – it’s a comfortable and edgy outfit that I can quickly throw on in the morning. I’m also bringing my Shocking Pink Zipper Jacket to take me from work to dinner.
2. My exclusive NYFW “Sorry For Partying” Tee and a pair of our Side Pocket Shorts will be great for walking around. My Slim Leather Moto Jacket is the perfect topper for crisp weather. I can throw this on over any outfit and head out the door. I can’t wait to wear my leather Riley Backpack with this look.
 3. Finally, I need a few statement pieces for when I go out at night. This means that my Hologram Leather Edith Pencil Skirt and Nora Leather Sleeve Pullover will definitely make the cut. I can’t forget my Avril Clutch to pair with this outfit! I love exploring new restaurants while I’m in Paris, and this look feels very Parisian to me.
There’s nothing better than Paris in the fall. I’ll be Instagramming some of my favorite places – check them out at @millybymichelle.

I stayed at Masseria Torre Maizza, an incredible watchtower converted into a luxury hotel! A gorgeous spa, golf course, and beach club make it the perfect place. Posing on ancient streets in the visually striking white city of Ostuni. See the Byzantine church in the background? Poolside at Masseria Torre Maizza with ancient columns, bougainvillea, hammocks, and fresh fruit grow on the trees. Blissful! The UNESCO-protected village of Alberobello, known for its abundance of Triulli houses, which are typical Puglian cone shaped structures. In Cisternino, a baroque passageway catches my eye. Relaxing in the shade, under the sea.
