Resolution time! Michelle Smith, designer and founder of MILLY, gives us a glimpse into what she’s planning, style-wise, for 2014:
I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions. I find the more I resolve to do something, the less I want to do it! This year, I’m making some style resolutions, for a fashionable 2014:
Color Me Beautiful: This year, I resolve to wear more color. Head-to-toe black is always in style, but a fun, flirty color contrast is equally chic, like my Raquelle Flare Skirt.
Fine Print: If the runway is any indication, 2014 is going to be the year of the print. I resolve to get on board! Floral is an easy way to dive into the trend, so this spring I’ll be rocking my Italian floral print skinny pants.
Luck Be a Lady: My look tends to be on the relaxed side, especially on weekends. But I plan to invest in some wardrobe staples that can take lazy into ladylike with minimal effort, like my cocktail coat. Throw it on and you have instant chic.
In the Clutch: This year I resolve to lighten up my load with a chic clutch for day-to-night dressing. Save the day bags for daytime.
